Key Responsibilities:
- Child Care & Supervision:
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Supervise daily activities, including playtime, meals, naps, and educational tasks.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including reading, crafts, outdoor play, and learning games that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Meal Preparation & Feeding:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks based on the parents’ guidelines and dietary preferences.
- Assist with feeding infants or younger children, ensuring proper hygiene and safety during mealtime.
- Clean up after meals and maintain a tidy eating area.
- Personal Care:
- Assist children with basic hygiene routines, such as bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, and changing diapers if applicable.
- Help children develop good habits and routines related to personal hygiene and self-care.
- Educational Support:
- Provide support with homework and school projects, depending on the children’s age.
- Help with early childhood education activities, such as teaching letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and other basic skills.
- Foster creativity and curiosity through arts and crafts, music, or outdoor exploration.
- Transportation & Errands:
- Provide safe transportation for children to and from school, extracurricular activities, playdates, or appointments.
- Run errands related to childcare, such as picking up groceries or other necessities (if needed).
- Household Support:
- Perform light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying up play areas, laundry, and organizing toys and clothing.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring the children’s space is always tidy and organized.
- Assist with children’s organization, including making beds and keeping their rooms neat.
- Communication with Parents:
- Provide regular updates to parents regarding the children’s activities, routines, and behavior.
- Communicate any concerns or issues that may arise during the course of caregiving (e.g., health concerns, behavioral changes).
- Follow specific instructions provided by parents to ensure consistency in caregiving and discipline.
Tasks
- Change diapers
- Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
- Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Nanny, childcare provider, or in a related field is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and parents.
- Patience, kindness, and a nurturing attitude toward children.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to provide a structured and safe environment while also being flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
- Experience with children of various age groups, including infants, toddlers, or school-aged children.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for travel or transportation of children).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree or coursework in child development or early childhood education is a plus).

- Previous experience with infants or children with special needs is a plus (if applicable).
Physical Requirements:
