Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Operations Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of farm operations, including crop production, livestock management, irrigation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Plan and implement planting, harvesting, and breeding schedules in line with seasonal requirements and market demands.
  • Monitor crop health, pest control, and soil fertility, ensuring sustainable farming practices are followed.
  • Ensure livestock are properly cared for, including feeding, breeding, and medical care, maintaining a high standard of animal welfare.
• Staff Supervision & Leadership:
  • Hire, train, and manage farm workers and seasonal laborers.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure all farm staff are working efficiently and safely.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and agricultural best practices.
  • Schedule and coordinate work shifts, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and to the required standards.
• Budgeting & Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the farm’s budget, including managing expenses for seeds, equipment, labor, feed, fertilizers, and other operational costs.
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure the farm operates within budget and remains profitable.
  • Keep accurate records of farm income and expenses, including crop yields, livestock sales, and equipment maintenance.
• Farm Equipment & Infrastructure:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Manage the purchase of new equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that buildings, fences, irrigation systems, and other infrastructure are well-maintained and safe.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure the farm is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental laws, labor laws, and food safety standards.
  • Implement safety protocols for workers and ensure that all safety equipment is available and properly used.
  • Oversee the safe and proper use of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, adhering to regulations regarding their application.
• Marketing & Sales:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to sell crops, livestock, or farm products.
  • Manage relationships with buyers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends and prices, adjusting production plans as necessary to optimize profitability.
• Record Keeping & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of crop production, livestock health, harvest schedules, and financial transactions.
  • Provide regular reports to farm owners or senior management regarding farm performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Education and Experience:
