Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations or other large vehicles to transport goods between locations.
- Transport goods over long distances, sometimes spanning across state lines or even internationally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Secure cargo properly and safely using straps, chains, or other securing methods.
- Follow traffic laws, maintain safe driving practices, and adhere to hours-of-service regulations.
- Plan routes, maintain delivery schedules, and communicate with dispatchers or supervisors as needed.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to the transportation of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring it is fueled and in good condition for the next trip.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver or similar role.
- Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle long hours on the road.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Good physical stamina and ability to handle long periods of sitting and driving.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
