Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations or other large vehicles to transport goods over long distances.
  • Plan routes, load and unload cargo, and ensure goods are secured properly for transport.
  • Adhere to all transportation laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.
  • Keep accurate logs of working hours, distance traveled, and cargo delivered.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and maintain schedules.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, particularly regarding driving hours and rest periods.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver or similar role.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and safe driving practices.
