Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations or other large vehicles to transport goods over long distances.
- Plan routes, load and unload cargo, and ensure goods are secured properly for transport.
- Adhere to all transportation laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Keep accurate logs of working hours, distance traveled, and cargo delivered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and maintain schedules.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, particularly regarding driving hours and rest periods.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver or similar role.
