We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Health Care Aide (HCA) to provide direct, hands-on support to patients and clients in their homes or healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Help with mobility, transfers, and exercise routines.

Support feeding and nutrition by preparing and serving meals.

Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional conditions.
-
Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as instructed.

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life.
-
Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and bed making.
-
Follow care plans and instructions from nurses or care coordinators.
-
Adhere to health, safety, and infection control standards.
Requirements:
-
Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide or Nursing Assistant program.

Certification or registration as required by local health authorities.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Physically fit and able to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing.
-
Respect for client dignity, privacy, and cultural diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
CPR and First Aid certification.
-
Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or hospital settings.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.

Multilingual abilities (depending on client population).
Tasks
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
- Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
- Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- Perform other duties related to personal care
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Supervise patients’ exercise routines
- Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas
- Bathe, dress and groom patients
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
- Collect specimens
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
