We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing resources, schedules, budgets, and personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent project management abilities, and a solid understanding of construction processes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and oversee construction projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  3. Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  4. Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services necessary for project execution, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  5. Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  7. Address and resolve any conflicts, delays, or issues that arise during construction, implementing effective problem-solving strategies.
  8. Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to clients, stakeholders, and senior management through regular progress reports and meetings.
  9. Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure project success and professional development.
  10. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all project-related activities, including contracts, change orders, and project files.

  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Prepare reports

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Proven experience as a construction manager or project manager, with a track record of successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
  3. Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, including knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to project management.
  8. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  10. Relevant certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMIT (Construction Manager in Training), are a plus.
