This role supports a smooth workflow in the kitchen and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient baking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and mixing of doughs, batters, and fillings.

  • Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.

  • Prepare baking pans and trays with parchment, grease, or liners.

  • Load and unload ovens and monitor baking times and temperatures.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area.

  • Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and baking equipment.

  • Package and label baked goods for sale or delivery.

  • Monitor ingredient levels and notify the baker when supplies are low.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior kitchen or food service experience is a plus.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

  • Basic understanding of baking techniques and kitchen equipment.

  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).

  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
