The Backhoe Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing backhoes and related heavy equipment used in construction and excavation.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues in backhoes and heavy equipment.
- Perform maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and fluid level checks, to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and components on backhoes.
- Replace or repair faulty parts and components, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete service and repair documentation accurately and maintain maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during all repair and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and equipment operators to address machinery issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Backhoe Mechanic or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of heavy equipment mechanics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform repairs in various conditions and environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair are advantageous.
