Responsibilities

Tasks

• Stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of ingredients under the supervision of kitchen staff.
2. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment.
3. Assist with food storage and inventory management, including rotation and labeling of products.
4. Support kitchen staff during peak hours by performing tasks such as food plating, garnishing, and portioning.
5. Dispose of waste and recycling according to established procedures.
6. Follow proper food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
7. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
2. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
3. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
4. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
5. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
