Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and suspension issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify any potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Perform alignments, tune-ups, and other maintenance tasks to maintain vehicle performance and reliability.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent to ensure proper documentation and billing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as an Automotive Mechanic with a focus on diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repairs across multiple vehicle makes and models.
  • Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Tasks

  • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
