Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly and efficient service throughout their shopping experience.
  • Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Scan and bag items, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Answer customer inquiries, assist with product location, and provide information about promotions or special offers.
  • Monitor inventory levels at the checkout counter and communicate restocking needs to the supervisor or manager.
  • Follow established procedures for cash handling, including counting money, balancing cash registers, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash register systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
