We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines found in various equipment, from lawnmowers and snow blowers to chainsaws and generators. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Assessment: Inspect and diagnose small engine problems, including issues related to starting, power loss, performance, and other malfunctions.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on small engines, including two-stroke and four-stroke engines, gasoline and diesel engines, and air-cooled and liquid-cooled engines.
- Engine Overhaul: Conduct engine overhauls when necessary, which may include disassembling, cleaning, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and reassembling engines to factory specifications.
- Fuel and Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair fuel system issues, electrical system malfunctions, and ignition problems.
- Regular Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, cleaning or replacing air filters, inspecting spark plugs, and following manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, discuss engine issues and repair options, provide cost estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of diagnostic assessments, repairs, parts used, and work performed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of small engine systems, including two-stroke and four-stroke engines, gasoline and diesel engines, and both air-cooled and liquid-cooled engines.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.
