Responsibilities:
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other ADLs to promote their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Sign Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with mobility and positioning, including helping them walk, transfer in and out of bed, and use mobility aids.
- Patient Comfort: Ensure patients are comfortable by providing pillows, blankets, and adjusting their bed as needed.
- Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, actively listening to their concerns and providing reassurance.
- Medical Procedures: Assist with medical procedures, including wound care, catheter care, and monitoring IVs.
- Meal Assistance: Help patients with meal intake, including feeding assistance when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and certification is preferred.
